Change of Matrimonial Property Regime

There can be many reasons for a change in the matrimonial property regime. For example, one of the partners intends to go into business and does not want the other partner to bear all the associated property risks. 

However, the modification of the matrimonial regime may also be a condition for the purchase of a property or it may result from a greater caution of both partners when entering the marriage in general. It is possible both to extend the statutory scope of the community of property to all assets, or to decide that assets do not belong in a happy marriage at all and to regulate the so-called separate property regime.
