The lease of premises for professional use is governed by the Civil Code in the same way as the lease of a flat. However, in the case of a commercial lease, the parties have much greater contractual freedom to define their rights and obligations.
Lease agreements for commercial premises are therefore often more extensive and more detailed. Great care should therefore be taken when drafting the lease agreement, as it will determine the rights and obligations of the parties for many years to come, even if circumstances change in the future.
