Eliška Barthelemy (1968) completed law studies in France (University of Reims) in 1991 and in 1993 she obtained a diploma in international law from the Faculty of Law Paris II (DEA Droit international). She graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 1994. She has been working as a lawyer since 1992, initially for an international law firm in Paris (1992–1993) and then in Prague (1993–1996). In 1996 she co-founded a significant law firm Vyskočil, Krošlák and partners, where she has been a partner for more than 22 years.
In 2018, she decided to give the opportunity to her closest longtime collaborators, and together with them she established a new law office BARTHELEMY & PARTNERS. Eliška represents not only the francophone corporate clientele in the implementation of projects in the Czech Republic, but also helps private clients in solving complex personal situations. Her main areas of practice include employment law, corporate law, acquisitions, restructuring, competition law including consumer protection and debt enforcement.
She regularly gives lectures in the area of labor law to professional business entities as well as in the academic sector – students of FAMU and DAMU. She is also a member of the Board of the Kolowrátek Fund. She has been appointed sworn translator in French language by the Municipal Court in Prague and in 2011, she has been appointed advisor for France for foreign trade affairs.
